Today Is The Sabbath... What Does That Mean?
‘Be still, and know that I am God.’
It would seem that most people find themselves caught through a desire to constantly be at work on their great vision, or otherwise in a deep slumber from which they fear to rise from. On this day, the Sabbath, we are reminded of a very old lesson, one that has been passed down to us all. We are called to rest on Sundays. There is no school, the 9-5 servitude moves to the background, and we recover from yesterday, and anxiously look to tomorrow. But on this day, on the Sabbath, we are called to rest. Why is this of such vital importance? That is a question I could not answer for a long time, and still struggle with as I write this now, but I find myself on approach to it.
